Merry Christmas And a Happy New Year everyone!!!

Wow cant believe its the New Year already!!! lol We roulettz would love to say Merry Christmas and we wish you all a great New Year.....

I think im still in shock at how quick this year has been and gone in about 5hours lol....!
We've been working really hard writing and practising for the performances we had a few wks back that time has gone so quick and the New Year is finally here, im sooooo excited as it means we will be spending most of our time in the studio writing even more songs and laying them down there and then which means we're on the roll and there aint no stopping us in 2011 this is our dream and were going to try our damn hardest lol to make it happen!! :o)

So Once again Merry Christmas & A Happy New Year!!! Be SAFE, Have fun & Enjoy....

Seasons Greetings

Hi there lovely people, we hope you're all enjoying the festive season. So... Moonlighting... it was an interesting performance to say the least. It all started when we were told there was only 1 mic !!!! We managed to get hold of a second mic but this stopped working just as our track started, as you can imagine this was a big problem. Four girls hovering over 1 mic that wasn't really picking up all our voices so in the end we just had to sing extra loud over the track and give it the best we could. It was a shame really because we weren't able to execute our stage presence as much as we had rehearsed but hey the show must go on right. We saw it through til the end and ended on an acapella; which must have gone down well as we received a really warm and supportive cheer from the audience. We were ecstatic after our performance when people approached us stating that we still sounded great despite the mic conundrum. :) That really made it all worth it, just to receive positive feedback and knowing that people liked our 'burn' track. We have taken this performance  as a lesson and we'll be working hard to make sure that should this happen again in a performance we have some sort of contingency plan. We wanna say a big thank you to the event co-ordinators down there at Moonlighting, another huge thank you to all our friends that came down to support us, an extra special thank you to our vocal trainer Tom Vella who has been amazing to us and helped us arrange 'burn' and push us to sing from our hearts.

On a jolly note, we're taking a couple weeks to breathe from writing and performing to enjoy Christmas and the New Year with our families, however we have been doing what we do best, talking (lol) and we've got a few really lovely producers and studios lined up which we plan to jump straight into in the new year so we can finally take our adventure as the Roulettz a step further.

rehearsing for moonlighting

hey hey hey!!! just had rehearsals again tonight for our 2nd performance at moonlighting club on friday. working hard as usual!! bit of a crazy car journey dancing too i whip my hair back and forth!! fun times!!!!

Our 1st ever performance!!!! :o)

Hiiiii Ppls,   Well we finally did our first performance on friday just gone and it was an amazing experience not only because it was with my girls but also because it was fun, exciting and energetic!!

We arrived at the charity event called 'Centre Points Got Talent' hosted by Axel the entertainer... at 5.30pm and found out we wasnt on stage till 10pm which was a long wait as you could imagine haha but never the less atleast we got the chance to sit down and watch the rest of the show which was great, there were young talented people singing, dancing, modelling and rapping. There was also a performance from a guy called 'Young Nate' who is an unsigned uk artist, he had a fantastic voice and wowed the audience!

So 10pm was closely following and we went to prepare ourself and do last min touch up to our lipsticks lol and before we could blink we were getting introduced onto the stage and away we went to show em what we were made of! and gladly we were welcomed with a big cheer then by the second chorus the crowd was singing along with us which was a wicked vibe...

So a Big thank to those who where in the audience and to everyone else thank you for following our journey so far theres going to be plenty more from us keep it locked!

Our 2nd Audition Process

Hiiiiiii ppls, How you guys been this week? Us Roulettz have been busy preparing for our show on the 10th of this month and attended the 2nd part of the audition today which was to show them that were are stage ready and got our lyrics down to the T... lol which we did and it went really well. We all got there before hand to have a little quick practice then off we went into the room with a panel of judges *feeling a tad nervous* lol but soon after we started to perform the judging panel was all bopping along and really feeling the vibe we was giving them :o) and before we knew it, it was finished! we got some good feed back from the judges and will be taking it all on board for the big day...

Anywhoooo i will leave it as that for now and blog you guys real soon!

Me and the roulettz had an amazing rehersal last weds 24/11/2010. our track BURN is coming together nicely :) really cannot wait till we hit the studio to perfect it and also perform it on the 10/12/2010.

Hello All,

How are you all doing.....I Gemma am currently sitting in shaz's flat with the girlies Shaz, Charlene, Mel.....and HAYLEY ( our stylist ) hehe. We had a little rehearsal practising our tunage Burn which is splendid by the way (lyrics courtesy of char) now im drinkin Disarano hehe, We got through our audition and are performing for the first time in the whole entire world on 10th Dec :) be there or be triangle I tell you! Its in Bethnal Green we shall let you know wata gwarn nearer the time obv ;)

Roulettz Adventure ;)

Howdy guys!
so..........We had our first ever audition yesterday eve in Shaftsbury Avn, which I must say was a rather splendid experience :D. Me (Gemma), Melody, Shaz and char in spirit as she was otherwise engaged :( took a road trip via Melody's nifty car (along with my loverman who came for support :) ) ..... On the way we weren't so nervous  but we were practising away doing a cover of Billionaire by Travie McCoy and Impossible by Shontelle, which I must say sounded a tad on the ropey side lol. Reality sunk in when we arrived and realised we would be auditioning in front of the others who auditioned as well as the judges which was all in all about 15 people HA sounds small but bare in mind ......1ST EVER audition!!!! Newho we got there and it was literally a case of going in putting our shizzle down and getting down on it! (this was when my butt cheeks started to wobble with nerves hehe) So there was me frozen except for my butt Melody and shaz all poopin our pants lol Then shaz stepped up introduced us and counted us in and that was that. So we done our thang....heads were bobbin....and people started singin our song so I think we made the impact needed and without a doubt was far better than what we acheived in the car (thumbs up). We were told we looked like a professional girl group and also threatened that we were lucky we are worth the wait (as we were late oopppss) or some people would of got mad haha!....We left stuffed our faces at KFC took some splendid pictures and are now all anticipating as to whether we got through, which we will hopefully find out tomorrow.

All in all it was a fun adventure new and wonderful experience..... yes this has also been a pleasure expressing our fun times....yes it is a long blog but I hope you appreciate my gangsterness hidden within the blog! hehe

First Audition

Our weekend rehearsal was a mixture of excitement and panic as it was based on putting together a quick cover piece for an audition to perform at a music event hosted by government agency Centre Point. The audition will be happening tonight in the West End and if we are successful we will be performing at the live show on December 10th!!! So rehearsals were a little frantic but we feel very rehearsed and are keeping faith. Fingers crossed, wish us luck and we'll keep you updated,

Bitter Sweet

Last week was a monumental step for us Roulettz, we had our second weekly session with our vocal trainer Tom. It was both fun and a bit daunting as we had fun singing familiar songs e.g. Impossible / Billionaire and out some really cool harmonies together. That part was super fun and insightful yet actually more challenging than we anticipated. However we also had individual critiques based on solo performances, whereby Tom explained out personal strengths and weaknesses with points to work on. some of these included better breathing practice, clearer annunciations  along with unwanted head movements (cringe). So we had fun but we are all working towards group and individual targets to help enhance our vocals and performances.

We are the Roulettz, starting out on our journey as a new UK Girl Group, we are currently writing lyrics, arranging photo shoots, having vocal training and meeting producers.

We plan to release our debut album in 2011.
