Why Hello :o) Strangers lol

Sooooo Its been a hot minute ;o) Unfortunatley we didnt make it through to the finals of Live & Unsigned at the O2 Arena as there were so many great acts to narrow down from but still it was just an amazing experience to take part in the competition and to have made it as far as we did was a blessing! As we havent even been together for a year yet so we were all very proud of each other!
we even came 3rd in the Leader board which was a wildcard to get us back in the competition which we are very greatful to all those people who voted to keep us in the leader board

Towards the end of the comp we also had an interview with John Beatfreak from Deja'vu Radio station which was great and we also performed two snippets of our songs called 'Dream Catcher' & 'Feel my heart beat' and you can check them out on our facebook pg /roulettzsingers or myspace/theroulettz

Now we'll be concentrating on writing tracks for our demo album and also hitting the studio to record those that we already have in place, we really hope you will love the finished product!

The Time Is Near EXCITING STUFF!!!

Hey Hey Hey howdy fellow mini Roulettz just a lil update for you all, We girls have been rehearsing this evening as its only 2wks away for the next Live & Unsigned show and were sooooo excited!! This time we have gone for a different approach and were going to sing a ballad song as the last performance was an up tempo song with small choreography which was alot to focus on haha so this time is gonna be all about our vocals :o)

Tonight we did a couple hours rehearsing for the performance and the other half was a lil meeting with our stylist Miss Hayley Scott to discuss and brain storm ideas for our outfits which we have a great look in mind, so cant wait to see how it comes together!

WE DID IT

Hey everyone! :)

So today is April 11th and yesterday was Sunday 10th of April the day of our regional final in aldershot, 3 shows in one day we were in the second show which consisted of 13 talented acts like CMG, Emily Denton, India Thorpe, Munkinpure and many more.

We arrived in two cars plus 1 more for our make up artist Miss Emily Mcmorrow who nearly didnt make it because of car troubles :(...... Me (Gemma) char and JP (dancing man) came in one car and Melody and Shaz in the other. Sat on the field opposite tearing up some chicken once we were fed we headed on up to register our presence had a short briefing and started with the make up and squeezing some practise in between. when we had sound check we discovered there were only 2 wireless mikes shock horror!! our choreography started to scare me as we couldnt do what was planned without tripping each other up! so the plan was to dance on the spot hehehe. So everything was happening really quickly loads of our family arrived and we got to spy them before we had to go hide back stage, Which was a great boost all that support we had. In total id say we had a little over 60 people come and support us not bad going ay hehe.........

........So now backstage and we were yes u guessed it once again last to perform so he had 80 minutes to wait nerve racking or what.........We got changed made final lipstick touch ups :) then headed to the mini loos to get one last practise in, yes that is how we roll!!!! So one by one acts dissappeared upstairs then reappeared with grins looking more relaxed after having done there piece. so it came to us we had to shimmey on upstairs in our dresses supplied by Miss Hayley Scott who wangled them as a loan from Elise Ryan :). So there we are waiting behind the curtain for our time to shine and then it was the presenter called our name and we took to the stage and then all of a sudden we were going off again. HA well thats what it felt like we done our performance it went well we were all ecstatic and got large screams from the audience. We sang Aswaad- Shine which rolled seamlessly into our song called the light. Obviously theres always room for improvement we have had some good constructive criticism and just in general good remarks :D. So anyway this was the scariest part waiting behind the curtains to see if they call our name as one of the top five acts who are going through to area finals. So the first name came....2nd name, 3rd, 4th and fifth and we didnt hear our name :(...........Then it was the the next three acts called one act would go through so 2 acts were called and ours was the last to be called talk about suspense!!!!! So there we were 2 other acts beside us and they called THE ROULETTZ and all you heard was our squeels haha all the other acts were quite calm and collective and there was us screaming in our own lil roulettz world hehe.

So that is your full incite to what our day was like i hope you enjoyed it LOL but yes 1 performance away from performing at the o2 ay woooohhooooooo!!!!! our performnace for Area Finals is Saturday 21st May @ Portsmouth guildhall so be there or be oblong!!! (oblongs r more boring than squares!!) Our video will be on youtube in 9 days :D and we will be practising hardcore 4 the next 5 weeks so keep your eye on our BOLG

what have we been upto?

Hi guys

How are you all? again we have all been busy bees as usual :P Sunday 13th March was out showcase at fat talent live held at inn on the green in ladbroke grove. The show was was amazing. we performed 3 songs, the light, burn and dream catcher. Thanks to those who came and supported :) met a lovely bunch of people like killa zorro and kingkash. was a very successful evening and we are all very of ourselves.

we have been working very hard in preparation to live and unsigned we have just over a week left....very exciting but nervous at the same time...we have been rehearsing at the amazing scream studios with our lovely  choreographer Jason who has helped us with our routine :) its coming on nicely and very much appreciated.

Busy busy busy!

we have all been busy bees this past week. We have been doing a lot of rehearsing focusing on the upcoming live and unsigned event. We have recorded another track called 'feel my heartbeat' with the lovely Ife aka Maestrobakerboy. was a long and tiring day as we FINALLY managed to also record the one and only 'BURN' yay!!!

Live and Unsigned uk Auditions

We made it through to the live and Unsigned uk regional finals :o) on April 10th 2011 at Princess hall, Aldershot.

It was a very exciting morning for us we took a lovely drive up to auditions in aldershot and on the way we saw some really beautiful sights including fields of  horses, sheeps and cows lol also an amazing BIG Rainbow which made us feel so good and happy about our day, when we arrived at the auditions there was loads of people waiting to audition. We waited nervously in the room with the other acts waiting to perform and watching all the guitarists play there instruments and sing was really cool altho it made me more nervous lol but never the less we took our time to mingle and talk to other performers who were amazing and met some lovely people.
When our time came we went and took our stand before the judges who were very friendly and welcoming they asked us a few questions then off we went and did our best to try impress them. When we were waiting in the waiting area to find out who got through we was soooo nervous and really hoping we had got through but with all the acts that were there we wasnt so sure we would cut it! But when they guy came out and called a list of names ours was right at the bottom, then he shouted ' you all made it through' we were ecstatic!!!

So we have got a busy time ahead of us trying to prepare for the big show and fingers crossed we really hope we do well...

Studio Time!!! :o)

Heeeey just a little update for you all, We have been extremely busy rehearsing and going studio recording a few of our songs. 17th of feb we spent the day in the studio and recorded a beautiful track written by ourselfs called 'Dream Catcher' its a very inspiring song for us and people who have dreams they want to achieve and will work hard to make them dreams come true, it means alot to us we put our heart and soul into writing the lyrics. All in all studio was a fun day a great way for us to let go and belt out some vocals.

The journey is beginning :o)

Well hello there,

Just a quick note to say we The Roulettz are making movements :D just finalising our studio time, beats and producers and such the likes hehe.....also just putting the finishing touches on our third track and getting ready to lay it down.

in general were still having the time of our lives and keeping motivated still bonding with each other it has been 4 months and it is going all so marvellously.

Promo Photoshoot

Sooooo after many dress rehearsals with our stylist Hayley Scott www.hayley-scott.com and make up artist Emily McMorrow, Thursday's photo shoot rolled round pretty quick. It took a while to get started as we needed to do hair and make-up which I must say was stunning (Thanks Emily). Our photographer Trev, www.akingphotography.com was amazing and his studio and space was very fun and colourful. He was very patient with us as we got ready (blush) and on set was great at giving direction and ensuring that while we looked great as a group he caught our individual looks. Hayley was also amazing with her direction and guidance with her mood boards which were a great inspiration as well as her enthusiasm with props. We had three different looks: Streetwear, Glam / Pop and Sophisticated / Glam. It was a long day and we were shooting for about 6 hours and it was challenging at times to find the right images that represented us well as a group but more so as a group of women with different shapes and heights etc, but again we had the best team on hand and we had a lot of fun! We would like to send out a massive thank you to Laura Gravestock www.lauragravestock.com/ and Maggie Angus www.maggieangus.com/ for loaning us jewellery for the shoot. We enjoyed using them with our looks and advise  everyone to check them out. Their pieces were very fun and good quality and complimented our outfits very well especially with our street wear look. We have hundreds of fabulous pictures to sift through and send back for editing which we will use as general profile imaging as well as album artwork and press release once we are ready. We will definitely be putting some edited pictures up on here once they are ready.
